It was a little shocking to get a letter from the Internet today congratulating Readings From The Northside on our Six Year Anniversary. Especially since I’ve been telling people Readings From The Northside is about four years old for the past several years. But, sure enough, the Internet was correct. I know there are a few of you who have been Reading along for all six years. My sincerest apologies to you. That’s a lot of nonsense to swallow.
In celebration, the great Ann Coen has decided to leave the Hiding In Plain Sight show open in the Gallery for a few extra days this weekend. OK, so that’s only partially true. The show will be open for an extra two days this weekend but it has nothing to do our little Anniversary. It has to do with the overwhelming response to the show, the fact that it could be a yucky weekend at the Beach, and the fact that fun stuff from The Readings, Ben Wurst, and Eric Hance continues to fly off the walls, generating tons of much needed funds for The Conserve Wildlife Foundation Of NJ.
So for anyone who successfully made excuses to avoid the show all week, you better quickly think up two more! Because the show will continue to be open to the public this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each day from 10AM to 4PM.
Come see all your favorite animals in one place, including Om Nom the Seal, blown up big so you can pet them. And if you see a grown man hanging around the picture of Om Nom, petting it, come say hello. Because that’d be me and I owe you an apology. Six years is a lot of nonsense.
