Just as a friendly service, there are currently 2 Humpback Whale heading South on LBI. Lightning struck a third time, and one of them was cruising once again in the surf zone. He turned out modestly at Surf City. I would expect him in Beach Haven between 11AM and 1PM. He is accompanied by a medium size, very active Pod of Dolphin swimming and jumping all around him.
He was quite lethargic and short. Interestingly, he did not blow every time he surfaced. I have some odd photos to review.
The other was about a mile out but clearly visible, also heading South.
The winds have gone strong. The combination of lethargy and small winds will make for poor observation. Good luck!
