We interrupt this ridiculous and unintelligible edition of LBI Cribz to bring you some actual information. That clear eyelid is called the Nictitating Membrane. It is found in most birds of prey, and many other animals from Sharks to Polar Bears. It helps to keep the eyes moist & clean, but is clear and see-through so they can keep their eyes on prey. In the above photos you can see how the nictitating membrane moves from front to back, and you can also see the veins in it. Now back to the nonsense.
