I wish we could call this post “The Turning Point” but that’s probably a bit too hopeful. “The Pit Stop” is probably more realistic. Wait… has Summer 2013 beat us down so mercilessly that we’ve lost hope? OK, screw it, this post is now called “The Turning Point”.
The good news is that change is in the forecast for the first time in weeks, and that change is direct opposition. We are looking at at a little North and a little East on the way, at least for the next few days. With our patterns so entrenched and the coast such a mess, this shift could play out lots of different ways, including some boom booms. But there’s a chance we’ll see some nice dry air, some sun, and some lighter winds to float our spirits on. We’ll resume the Southwest immediately after but maybe this shift will make some kind of lasting impact.
Also, rumor has it that Surf’s Up. A tasty little swell is allegedly incoming for the next few days and the first signs of it are showing up this evening. Maybe it’s time to start checking the swell charts again. May your Pit Stop be fruitful.
