The storm came in at sundown and left at sunrise, leaving us with a spectacular, if a bit foggy, morning. The Wind is a light West and the swell continues (but is dying) so get out there soon on the close sides of the high tide for some fantastic rides.
We have some noticeable beach building going on with giant piles of sand accumulating on the South sides of the Jetty and mid beach in many places. This is the first such buildup I’ve noticed since the Brutal Day took it all a way a few Fridays back.
In addition to bringing some sand back to the beach, our South Wind episode has also brought some upwelled colder water. Not too bad (sorry no temps) but be prepared to realize how spoiled you’ve become from the off-the-charts-warm water we’ve had all summer if you take a tip this AM.
